Terms and Conditions

Your contract of sale and any financial transaction will be made directly with HERITAGE HIFI. All information will be handled according to our Privacy Policy and details are protected under GDPR.

These terms and conditions are applicable to all orders made from HERITAGE HIFI and establish our general business policies for various other interactions. As these terms are an integral part of your potential purchase and any subsequent service inquiries (whether by phone, email, or through this website), we strongly advise reviewing them thoroughly before placing an order. These terms do not impact your statutory rights.

Your use of this website and any product orders indicate your acceptance of these terms. Should you not agree, please do not use the website or place orders with us. These terms are subject to change, so we recommend reviewing them before each future order.

Order Shipments
Orders are dispatched by our preferred UK courier. Where applicable, we will include relevant contact details so a given courier can contact you directly for logistical purposes to advise on delivery times etc.

Damaged Items
Always sign for your delivery as “unchecked” even if the package looks undamaged. This protects you in the rare event of transit damage, making it easier to resolve any issues with the courier. If you receive a damaged item, you must contact us by email within 24 hours of delivery, including images of the damage, packaging, and shipping label. Failure to do so may result in your claim being rejected.

Defective Items
While we pride ourselves on reliable products, we understand that issues can sometimes occur. If your goods arrive in an unsatisfactory condition, please email info@heritagehifi.co.uk with a full fault description (and images, if necessary). We’ll then guide you through the next steps.
Should you return a product due to a defect present at the time of purchase, an exchange will be issued upon our receipt of the item within the first 30 days of receiving the item(s)
Please be aware that if a returned item is found to have no fault, items can be returned, and you may be charged an inspection and return shipping fee. Items will only be exchanged once the defective item(s) have been returned.
For more details on our warranty policy, including replacement units, again please contact us info@heritagehifi.co.uk

Service Policy
We work closely with dealers and aim to service products under warranty as efficiently as possible. To help us achieve this, please follow these guidelines:
1. It is a requirement that any reported faults are verified by the dealer before an RMA is requested. In other words, please test the product thoroughly before arranging a return.
2. To ensure efficient processing, all returned items must have an RMA number. Please obtain this number by contacting us at info@heritagehifi.co.uk before sending anything back to us. In the unlikely event items are returned without a valid RMA number clearly showing, servicing may be severely delayed.
3. All returns must have the RMA number included and original proof of purchase.
4. All items should be returned in their original packaging. If units are damaged due to inappropriate packaging, we cannot accept responsibility and we will not issue a credit or a replacement. In the case of a unit damaged due to poor packaging, the service team will provide available options, based on the condition of the item, and decide on the best course of action.
5. All returns for replacement must have all parts and accessories included. We reserve the right to refuse replacement until all parts have been returned, or we will charge for the missing items if this is more agreeable and the parts are available.
6. Items returned to us must be sent on an insured courier service service with adequate protection. We accept no responsibility for items that arrive with damage and would result in you needing to claim for compensation with your courier, so please use an insured service.
7. If an item is tested and no fault is found, it will be returned to the dealer. Any costs and fees incurred will be charged. If a replacement was provided, the dealer retains ownership of both the original unit and the replacement and is responsible for all outstanding invoices related to the RMA.
8. Should an item fail within four weeks of purchase due to a manufacturing fault, we’ll provide a replacement. For items failing after four weeks, we’ll repair them under warranty or replace them if we are unable to repair the items.
9. Repairs resulting from misuse will be charged. Faults or issues that arise due to factors other than manufacturing defects are also not covered by a warranty. Costs will include a £95 + VAT inspection fee, labour rate, and carriage. Any out-of-warranty repairs will be given a written quote for parts and labour, and will only be undertaken after a written agreement from the dealer.

Liability
We will only ever be liable for losses or during returns for the maximum value of the goods originally purchased and any delivery costs incurred. We pride ourselves on excellent service but every situation is different, so if any grievances arise, please contact us at info@heritagehifi.co.uk
